Chalk Paint the Pumpkins

I had looked for the right size and shape of white pumpkin but, had trouble finding that perfect one.  I decided to try the chalk paint to get the desired look.  Now, I am not saying you need to go out and buy chalk paint for the pumpkins but, if you have a little left over; like I did, it works great!

The finish on the paint was perfect.  The pumpkins covered well.  To finish the look all I needed was a thick permanent marker and a fine Sharpie to smooth out the edges.

I just drew the designs right on the pumpkins freehand.  You recognize this guy don't you?

The results were just what I was looking for.  I have to mention too that the white pumpkins were selling for $5 a piece and the orange were $2.50.  Win-win!  Oh, that pumpkin on the right is Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Just for Marty's Cloche Party, I am sneaking in a picture of my next Halloween table.  It had a cloche on it.  This is the table I am posting next week. It is the table I created these pumpkins for.   It is pure fantasy and a lot of fun, can anyone guess the theme?  It is not The Nightmare Before Christmas.
