I have been looking through my clippings of the old Victoria and I came upon this April 1997 garden feature. On this page they were recapping 10 years showing some garden images. Here are some of my garden images as of late. The inspiration must have been some of these Victoria images. (This is a re-post from 2010.)
Yes, my adirondack chair is white, but I have a second one and I am about to paint it hunter green.
Turning the page, the feature was a special on a lovely gourmet garden of a Dr. Marsha Hyll. I was surprised this garden was in an April issue because it could easily be an August feature.
This garden is what I hope for every April, but it never turns out quite this wonderful.
The beauty of having a gourmet garden would be to cook wonderful dishes such as the squash bisque (above left). The article states the rustic bread was purchased from a bakery. Yum!
The arrangements of her produce are just beautiful. More gourmet Italian dishes from her garden (above right).
Pretty accessories are always a plus.
Images of canned goods from her garden.
My garden is really small and mostly flowers.
Our favorite fall soup is butternut bisque. I found the first fall squash in the grocery last week and I brought it home and made this soup. I will share the recipe later on Foodie Friday. I used some rosemary from my garden in this.
One of our favorite Italian dishes is lasagna. I will share this recipe Friday. The basil is from my garden.
I have a butterfly house in my garden.

I canned plum and peach jam this year from the abundance of our Aunt's garden. I will tell more about that tomorrow.
As of today this is all I have out of my garden. We have also had tomatoes, but they are already eaten. Do you have a garden? How has it done this year?
I will join the Summer Blog Party. This entry goes to:
