Here is a peak at a wall hanging I made for Halloween. I have seen them at Pottery Barn and in a Better Homes & Gardens publication. They are really easy to make and the graphics are free at The Graphic's Fairy. Just click this link and under browse images in her sidebar, pick anatomy. You will find a lot of images to choose from.
Supplies:
canvas (mine was 24 inches x 16 inches)
pin
bamboo stick cut to 19 inches
jute string to hang it by
iron-on transfer ink jet papers (no laser printers)
Photoshop (can down load free trial here)
hot glue gun
*Note: To get the clip art you pick reversed so it will print out correctly on your iron-on you need Photoshop or some other editing software that will flip the image. I will show you in Photoshop.

First prepare your canvas. Cut it to the desired size and take a pin and unravel the edges to make it frayed.
Next, picked out your clip art and downloaded it to a file and then uploaded it to Photoshop.
Here it is in Photoshop. I will pick the Image drop down tab and then follow over on Rotate.
The next drop down menu appears and you will click flip horizontal. That turns your image over so you can have it print correctly with an iron-on transfer.
Here is what it looked like printed out. It will look backwards but, when you iron it on it will be correct.
Follow the iron-on transfer instructions to get the iron-on correctly. I got in a hurry and peeled my backing off of my iron-on too soon and it peeled the edges off. The kids just thought that looked creepy and they liked it. (They told me it was zombie-style.)
To finish, I glued the top of the banner around my bamboo stick and tied the jute string on to hang it by.
Have fun with it, you could make any image into a banner!
