Eco Natural Soap Review & a Giveaway!

Soap isn't the only treat you can find at Eco Natural Soap they also have a full range of products for your whole body and pets.  I also used their Exotic Butter Dry Skin Balm in the Island Lime fragrance.  This body butter is completely chemical free, made of all natural products, and concentrated so, a little went a long way.  I had a problem area; I decided to use it on my "blogging elbow."  I put the body butter on the rough skin on my elbow twice a day for 5 days and today I can report to you the dry skin is nearly gone.  This is such a great product!  The body butter soaks right in and never leaves your skin feeling greasy.  I have used an expensive hand lotion, recommended by my dermatologist, on that area for years and not had that result.  And, that Island Lime scent is wonderful.  You know I am always wishing I could slip away to the beach, this fragrance takes me there just for a moment each day when I use it.  I also tried out the Organic Lip Balm in the Key Lime Pie flavor and the Cocoa Butter flavor.  These Lip Balms are alcohol, lanolin free, and made with all natural ingredients such as; vitamin E, cocoa butter, shea butter, and castor bean oil.  The lip balm left my lips smooth and soft and lasted quite awhile without reapplying.  The products were the perfect solution to winter weary skin.

The Year in Tea 2012

I always think I am not doing a review post, but then I realize I have one thing I do consistently each month and that is a cup of tea.  So here it goes, a review of 2012 in tea.

In January I had the rose tea.

For February there was the Valentine's Day Tea.

In March the Irish Tea.

In April, to remember the anniversary of the Titanic, I had a Titanic Inspired Tea on an old steamer trunk.

And for May, of course, I had a Mother's Day Tea.

In June I had tea on my newly painted little white chair.

In July I had an Anne of Green Gables Tea.

In August I had a fresh vine of bittersweet that looked so lovely with my blue and white.

In September I had a Fall Tea Tray.

In October I had a Victoriana Tea with some spooky accents.

In November I served Dutch Apple Cake with tea..or maybe that is coffee...

In December I had a cuppa tea with my winter scarf and a great book of Christmas stories.

So, I really did have something I could review in 2012.  May everyone have a fantastic 2013!

Dove Bodywash Review (and $500 Spa Gift Card)

A summer ritual at my house is spa night.  It is a little something I do for myself to help my skin and toes look their best when more skin is showing in the summer.  Having beautiful skin gets to be a challenge as you age.  My skin has become drier with each passing year.  I have had even more challenges with my skin having developed eczema and dermatographic skin.   Many products I have used on my skin in the last year have not worked.  I often suffer from hives and itching.  My skin has needed extra care.  Using special instructions from my dermatologist, I have learned to maximize my healthy skin to bring a normal level of comfort back to my life.  

I recently tested Dove® Visible Care™ Toning Crème Body Wash.  I was not so sure how well I was suited for the body wash review due to my difficult skin.  But, I have trusted Dove products and used them for years so I agreed to give it a try.  I was most pleasantly surprised how well this body wash has worked.  

I went  about testing the body wash choosing to use it on my left leg so I could compare it to the right leg.  Right away when using  Dove® Visible Care™ Toning Crème Body Wash I noticed it smells fantastic!  They picked the right product to send me because this body wash smells a lot like my perfume.  This body wash has a warm ylang ylang and delicate wood fragrance with citrus notes.  My teen wanted to know, "What is that amazing smell in the shower?"  Yes, it smells that good!  But, great smells aside, how did it work?  I was extremely pleased with it's performance and was very impressed with the soft skin it leaves behind.  I used it for seven days and it transformed my skin into supple smooth skin.  After using the product, my skin felt like I had been caught outside in a spring rain.  On using it each night, I found myself starting to use it on my feet and then my arms....well you get the picture.  I wanted all of my skin to smell and feel that good.  My skin remained taught but not dry, shiny, and softer all day long.  


Dove® Visible Care™ Toning Crème Body Wash did not aggravate my difficult skin at all.  It has a rich pearlescent crème format that makes a luxurious lather and rinses clean.  It contains a mild cleanser with glycerin, stearic acid, and Vitamin E.  I was so happy to use it each night.  It made me enjoy my "spa time"  all that much more.  Dove created visibly more beautiful skin for me in a body wash and that makes me feel more beautiful in my summer skin!
