Home Sweet Home #73

Hello and welcome to Home Sweet Home!  I have been pulling out my favorite blue and white a lot lately.  Here it is for a red, white, and blue setting.

This setting meant to be a little country and nostalgic.  As the sun sets we'll just light the lantern like we're camping.

Now, I would like to highlight some of the posts that caught my eye last week at Home Sweet Home.  I am adding a disclaimer that I may be pinning or tweeting your post by adding it to this party.  I like to share your great ideas when I see things that are exciting.

Elaine at Creating Wonderful Spaces created a mile high beach table that was beautiful.
Sarah at Dumped and Discovered showed off a wonderful furniture makeover.

Two Cottages and Tea  had tea under her rose bower that was enchanting.

Be Book Bound showed off a little girl's bedroom that was gorgeous!

Our Life in a Click  showed off her Vintage Picnic Graduation Party that was awesome!
Many great links each week!  Thank you to all who join me at Home Sweet Home!   It is wonderful to have you here.

Golden

Just a few snapshots from a 4th tablescape I will post later in the week that have been edited with Kim Klassen's texture Golden.
In this photo I adjusted the levels and applied Golden with linear burn at 75%

Shells in a lantern where I also applied linear burn at 60%.

Place setting also edited with Golden in a soft light at 100% and then darken at 30%.
Hope your having a fun week!

Razzleberry Pie

I am usually always the one insisting everything be fresh or homemade especially pie but, when we tried this pie a few years ago I had an attitude adjustment.  This pie is awesome!  I thought this would be the perfect pie for the 4th of July.  It is loaded with fresh berries.   You can find it in the frozen food section of your grocery store.  It is made by Marie Callender's and I love the name of it Razzleberry Pie.
Here is what it looks like when you slide it out of the box.  It always looks perfect.  You only need to warm up the oven, leave the pie on the counter while it is warming, and poke a few holes in the top of the pie to vent, and then slide it into the oven.  It makes a really simple desert for any picnic and don't forget the whip cream.  It is delicious with whip cream!
Happy Birthday America!
I will be joining Michael Lee for Foodie Friday at her site Designs by Gollum.  Go visit the link and see what other people are cooking up for the 4th of July!
Have a great 4th of July weekend!

Vintage 4th of July Tablescape

Home spun and vintage is my 4th of July tablescape.  I started with an old Log Cabin patterned quilt for a tablecloth.
I then layered the mix and match pink and blue transferware over pewter plates as chargers.
Pewter, Wilton Armetale pattern Plough.
Dinner plate shown below.
Salad plate by Johnson Brothers pattern Coaching Scenes.
This plate is 17th Century England Ironstone pattern Red River.
Dinner plate by Johnson Brothers pattern Coaching Scenes.
Salad plate Johnson Brothers pattern British Castles.

Salad plate unmarked.
Vintage pewter mugs from our bicentennial year; 1976, and our national parks, give each place setting it's unique look.
For the centerpiece I have used a giant Ball canning jar purchased a few years ago at Cracker Barrel.
I also have some vintage postcards scattered around.  A primitive eagle carving, vintage bottles with flags , and a small Uncle Sam to complete the look.

A vintage canning jar for a candle holder.  As the evening cools down we can carry the canning jar lanterns outside and use them to light the party there.
There is no date on the back of the postcards but they are old.  I will join Leigh for Thrifty Thursday because all of this table is from my collections, I purchased nothing.
I will be joining Susan for Tablescape Thursday at her site Between Naps on the Porch.
I will also join Leigh for Thrifty Thursday at her site Tales from Bloggeritaville.
I will also join Suzanne for Vintage Thingy Thursday at her site The Colorado Lady.
