Fall Changes on the Porch

I have these double impatients on the porch that have really looked beautiful all summer.  I normally pull the summer flowers out of the planter and put mums in the planter for fall but, these impatients look so beautiful this year I decided to work with them and try something new.

I took a 12-inch grapevine wreath and applied bamboo skewers to the back and wired them with floral wire.  You can find these skewers in the grocery with the cooking utensils.  Any wooden stake would work to support the wreath.

I put the wreath in the back of the planter and put a gourd in front of it.  I looked everywhere for a white pumpkin but I couldn't find one.

Now it has a fall feel without destroying such beautiful flowers.  It should all last till frost.
