Spiderweb Glasses

This is an easy trick you can do with your glasses for your Halloween table.

Here are the supplies you will need:
Glasses
Spiderweb template
Painting pen

I am again using Martha Stewart's templates.  You can get some here.
Or, do what I did and check  The Best of Martha Stewart Living Halloween out of the library.  I have copied the original template and have cut it out and slipped it down inside my wine glass.  I put the tiniest piece on tape on it to hold it in place.

I use the painting pen to draw the spiderweb right onto the glass.  Read directions you will have to shake up your pen and I tired it out on another glass first that wasn't going to be for my table.  This painting pen was from Walmart and it is not for glass, so this effect is temporary and will wash off.  You can buy glass painting pens and the results should be permanent.

Here is the finished result.  I drank from this glass and tried this out to see how the paint held up.  The design will come off; if you rub it, when the glass frosts up.  For a more permanent design get a painting pen for glass. The design I painted on will stay in place for the length of a dinner  party;  but, it will wash off in the dishwasher and then you won't have glasses that you can only use for Halloween.   Your choice, either way, it is a fun effect for your Halloween table.
